So here's the deal - This story revolves around a local legend in San Antonio Texas. A beautiful young woman is killed for a diamond that her lover won in a card game, but the gem was never found by the murderer. Present Day. Also offered a position to lead the group is Logan Raintree, a local Texas Ranger.
Both have certain "talents" that would be integral to the group. Both being able to commune with the dead, they hit it off right away and are able to work together. The case they are working on together is that of several females that have been uncovered in the surrounding area of the Alamo and Longhorn Saloon and Inn. As they uncover more evidence it all points back to the diamond.
It appears that all of these missing females claimed that they were psychic and the killer has been using them to try and get in contact with the dead woman in to find out where the diamond is located. Now Sandy has gone missing and feared that the killer may have her. Kelsey and Logan are racing to find her and stop the murder of another woman that is also a friend. This is my first foray with Heather Graham. It was a pretty good story, and I would be willing to give her another go.

The writting was pretty smooth aside from a few glitches where a turn of events was suddenly started and I had to go back to the begining of the paragraph to get my bearings. Suddenly I was across town or with another part of the group. I was a little disappointed with the few love scenes. I had hotter sex this afternoon, and I'm married However, I'm not that pissy and have read a book full of misspellings and still loved the story itself. So I'm going to give her another whirl in the sometime future.
I don't know, maybe being that she has so many previous published works I was expecting more. Yeah, that's it. Sep 02, Angela rated it liked it. I so enjoyed learning more about the Alamo. Interesting way to get more people for the series. I never seen to read Heather Graham's books in order, but that does not seem to matter. I really enjoy all of them. The murderer in this one took me by surprise. Always a pleasure to read the ins and outs of how the author builds the story and describes and presents her characters.

I couldn't quite figure out who the killer was until the last moment. I so didn't see that ending coming. The romance was rip the sheets off the bed hot. No one does a better romantic suspense ghost story than Heather Graham! Sherry Dickens May 06, Kristi Hill rated it it was ok. Had potential, but poorly written. Many characters and only two were attempted to be developed. The lengthy sex scenes were the best description going on here, but way too much of it. And though it was clearly the goal of the author to want me to LOVE Texas and everything about it she even gives the coveted recipe for texas chili to you at the end I ended up loathing it and every pass she made at me with it. Far too much cheesiness going on here, even for me.

Just say no to The Unseen by Heather Graham. This is the fifth book in the Krewe of Hunters series. You do not have to read the books in order. The history in this book needs a major tune-up. Also, one of the main characters in the book, Kelsey, is the very definition of annoying. She follows the same pattern in this book as in previous outings, falling in love too quickly.
The story was also too easy to figure out. While this book had other problems, I am so done wasting my time on this novel Just say no to The Unseen by Heather Graham. While this book had other problems, I am so done wasting my time on this novel. That is why I am giving the book one star. Very Entertaining I enjoyed reading this book. It had a great mix of ingredients What more could you want! And then the author added some Texan recipes as an encore. Mar 22, Bonnie Drummond rated it it was amazing.
When a valuable gem is won in a poker game and then hiding in the hair of a beautiful saloon girl only to be taken to San Antonio were she was killed by an brutal man when the battle of the Alamo was to begin then some years later the same room became a death seen in a murder that would have the police baffled until two more murders a curse that when Jackson Crow comes to town and starts up a New Krewe Team to find out what's happening.
I'm sure the library hates me for all the requests which cost money but I only want these on audio.

The setting is San Antonio with historic figures from the battle at the Alamo as the ghosts. The original "krewe" is only in The Unseen very briefly. A new team is being set up to be based in Texas and this is their first case. The likely villains were somewhat clear from the beginning, but I enjoyed this very much. The romance was rushed but each book does develop a couple.

Narration: Luke Daniels is the reason I will only do the series in audio format. He handles male and female voices and accents with expert talent. I am able to listen at 1. He is fantastic! Jan 11, Chibineko rated it liked it Shelves: netgalley , a-little-predictable , harlequin.
I'll give all of the long time Heather Graham fans a warning. The old Graham is probably never going to come back. I'd liken her older books to rich Godiva chocolate: rich and oh-so-sinfully bad for you, whereas her newer books are like Hershey chocolate: good, but not nearly as good as the Godiva was. This is pretty much the case here in this book. I'll be honest and say that while this wasn't an "oh my gosh, read it until my eyeballs pop out" type of book, it wasn't bad and is an improvement ov I'll give all of the long time Heather Graham fans a warning. I'll be honest and say that while this wasn't an "oh my gosh, read it until my eyeballs pop out" type of book, it wasn't bad and is an improvement over some of Graham's previous books.
This is far better than Dust to Dust was. The Unseen is pretty much a continuation of the Krewe of Hunters series, but with a new group of characters since the previous bunch had all been paired off with their love interests. This book brings us a new pairing, a new murder mystery, and a new set of ghosts. I really wanted to judge this book on its own merit for good or bad , but some of the similarities between the pairing in this book and the pairing in the first KoH book sort of prevented that. Like our pairing in Phantom Evil, we're given two people in law enforcement, with the male love interest being a Native American.
This is generally where the similarities ended, but it's enough to where I kind of felt a little disappointed that Graham didn't shake things up a little more. I'd have loved to have seen a pairing where one of the duo was a brash young thing that shoehorned their way into the investigation, but hopefully we'll get that in another book.
