The mahat-tattva is the creation of Maha-Vishnu; everything in His innate or lifeless material creation is the manifestation of His dreams and thoughts. They are available to an unlimited number of jiva-souls As their secondary baddha-jiva The mahat-tattva along with all its vessels, are continuously created and annihilated with the creation and destruction of each mahat-tattva. Only pious or impious activities can reveal both the heavenly and hellish words to an individual however, there is no gross material way other than by the path of self realization under the guidance of a Guru can this be realized, experienced and understood.

The mukta-mahapurusa, or liberated, self-realized soul, sees that the soul in this world is serving Krsna, but we see that we are conditioned souls. No definitive mundane words can be used to actually explain jiva-tattva, because it is beyond siddhanta. In other words, the form of the soul is beyond our comprehension.
It is not a tree, but it will become a tree. Not everything is similar. For example, the seed of a tree is not cetana conscious, or alive , but atma, the soul, is cetana. Maya is not present in the atma. There are no clouds in the sun; but they are outside of the sun.
We see the clouds, but those who are above the clouds are always seeing the sun; they do not see clouds. Similarly, self-realized souls like Sri Narada Rsi can see that we are always serving, even though we are conditioned souls. What we tell at this stage is only for some time. It is only an example for you at this time. It is not an exact example.
You should try to perform harinama, and beg for mercy so that you will come out of maya and realize all of these truths. Harinama is pure:. It bestows all spiritual benedictions, for it is Krsna Himself, the reservoir of all pleasure. It is not a material name under any condition, and it is no less powerful than Krsna Himself. This is because the name of Krsna and Krsna Himself are identical. Who can realize this?
Conditioned souls can only suppose what reality is like. Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has written in his Jaiva-dharma that devotees who perform harinama and beg mercy from Sri Krsna and Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu may realize transcendence cetana-vastu, cid-vastu [Krsna is the complete cid-vastu, or living being, and the jiva is the infinitesimal cid-vastu, or spirit spark], otherwise it is not possible. In sastra, numerous siddhantas philosophical conclusions have been told, only for us.
It is not that all siddhanta is for all persons at all stages of their development in bhakti. There is some siddhanta for kanistha-Vaisnavas neophytes in bhakti , some for madhyama-Vaisnavas those devotees in the intermediate stage , and some for uttama-Vaisnavas, those devotees who have crossed over maya. It is not that all siddhanta is in the same category. In Srimad-Bhagavatam, so many categories of siddhanta are given for various classes of persons. We should therefore try to do bhajana and realize all these transcendental or spiritual truths cinmaya-tattva.
Mundane logic and reasoning will not go there at all. Perhaps what you previously thought about the jiva and bhakti has changed. Perhaps you are now thinking, understanding, and realizing differently. Similarly, your present understanding will also change when you will become a maha-bhagavata and cross over maya. Then you will realize everything. An important point to note: the idea that the anadi-baddha jiva, the conditioned soul in this world, has fallen from the spiritual abode of the Lord is not accepted by our acaryas. A kanistha-vaisnava?
A madhyama-vaisnava? A madhyama-adhikari Vaisnava can only give siddhanta. He cannot speak from experience. If we want realization, it is necessary to hear from the three kinds of uttama-bhagavatas: Nirdhuta-kasaya, murchitta-kasaya and bhagavat-parsada-deha-prapta. The most elevated of the three is bhagavat-parsada-deha-prapta. When Narada Muni was a practicing devotee he was a murchitta-kasaya.
Anyone can have bhakti by the association of these three maha-bhagavatas. The association of a madhyama-adhikari can take us to the entrance of sadhana-bhakti, and his mercy can lead us to an uttama-bhagavata.

Such persons are the best of all uttama-bhagavatas. Those who, although still residing within the gross material body made of five elements, have no trace of material desire vasana nor any material impressions samskaras within their hearts are called nirdhuta-kasaya those who have thrown off all material impurities. They belong to the intermediate class of uttama-bhagavatas.
Those siddha-mahapurusas pursuing the path of bhakti in whose hearts there remains a trace of desire vasana and impressions samskaras based on the material mode of goodness are known as murcchita-kasaya. Due to influence of their bhakti-yoga, these desires and impressions remain in a dormant or unconscious state. As soon as there is a favourable opportunity, their worshipful object, Sri Bhagavan, somehow causes their desire to be consumed and attracts them to His lotus feet. Such elevated souls belong to the preliminary stage kanistha of uttama-bhagavatas.
Devarsi Narada is an example of the topmost uttama-bhagavata. Sukadeva Gosvami belongs to the intermediate stage of uttama-bhagavatas nirdhuta-kasaya. Sri Narada in his previous birth as the son of a maidservant is an example of the preliminary stage of uttama-bhagavatas murcchita-kasaya. The association and mercy of these three kinds of maha-bhagavatas is the cause of the manifestation of sraddha.

One who worships demigods worships the Supreme Lord indirectly, but according to the revealed scriptures, there is no need to worship Him indirectly. One can worship Him directly. Lecture on BG 9. That is the proposal of the author. They are not energetic. We have seen fire, blazing fire, and when fire is blazing, we can see the sparks and the original fire. So how it is so? Because one has to give evidence. Because there are different categories.
Jiva, Jada & Isvara: Mind, Matter & God
Just like the fire, fire and its heat. Heat is the energy, and the fire is the energetic. Similarly, the Supreme Lord, He is the energetic, Supreme Person, and we, the living entities, we are energy. But as you cannot separate energy and energetic separately… Wherever there is energy, wherever there is fire, there is heat also. You cannot separate the fire… So as soon as we are separated, that is our conditional state.
How we are separated? That illuminating spark which was dancing with the fire, as soon as falls down, it becomes black, charcoal. It is just like carbon. So, so long with the fire, it is just like, as good as fire, illuminating. So our position is like that. That is a false theory. So there is no difference in power. It has no value according to Vedic scripture.
Every one of us trying to utilize the material resources of the material nature. We are simply trying. Means we are not personal expansions. Just like candles, there are many candles, each candle has got the illuminating power. The separated expansions are we, we living entities. It is not corroborated. Madhya Just like fire and heat or light. Heat is not different from fire, but heat is not fire. So simultaneously one and different. We are neither different nor one, simultaneously, and therefore it is called inconceivable, acintya.
In our material conception we cannot think that one thing may be simultaneously one with another and different from another. That we shall have to concentrate. We have to take expansion according to the tattva. Substance and categories; in which category. The same example. Just like here a government officer, he is also Indian gentleman, you are also Indian gentleman, but he has got his power on account of his high qualities. The part and parcel exercises his position.
Like that. So we are also part and parcel, but we are very small part and parcel. Just like if you throw one brick on the floor, so there will be so many small particles, big particles, this particle, that. They are all part and parcel of the brick, but one part very small atomic part, and one big part, this part, this part, then this part, then this part. Some of them are bigger and some of them are smaller.
So according to the size, or according to the power…. These are para-tattva. Similarly cit-tattva, spiritual world. The living entities, although they are in the material world, they belong to the spiritual world. This material energy is inferior. That I was trying to understand. These things are there.
And I try to…. You see. See the contents. The sakti tattva, or jiva tattva is always enjoyed. Our position is always predominated. Is this Balarama or Lord Ramacandra? Generally it means Krishna, because Rama means enjoyer. If we remain in that position and properly use our small independence, then we remain happily eternally. But artificially, if we want to be independent and imitate the Supreme Enjoyer, then it is delusion.

They are not from the spiritual world. Therefore, the illusory energy, maya, gives him all kinds of misery in this material existence. If all souls are eternal servants of Krsna, then when did they become bahirmukha? When did they become adverse to Krsna? Why did they turn away from Krsna? He is the eternal servant of Krsna. He is tatastha-sakti: not pure svarupa-sakti. This should be remembered always.
The jiva is a manifestation of svarupa-sakti. From svarup-sakti comes Krsna, Nrsimha, Rama, and so on. They are svansa, and they have come from there. The vibhinnansa-tattva jiva never came from svarupa-sakti, and therefore he is called vibhinnansa jiva. Why did he become adverse to Krsna? This is the question. Those who are beginners cannot understand, but they should also try to understand. They are to be considered eternal associates of Krsna.
There is no maya; only yogamaya. They are always tasting and relishing this sweetness of serving Krsna. They cannot forget Krsna or be adverse to Him. Never, never.
Their love and affection will always be new, new, new, new and renewed. And even if there is no place to be new, still it renews. They are perpetually conditioned in this material world and thus subjected to the material tribulations, brought about by different bodily forms in hellish conditions. What have they done wrong? Here is the point. Try to understand. What is the defect? They have never served Krsna. They have not relished the sweetness of serving Krsna. That is why a word has come here: tatastha-sakti.
What is tatastha-sakti? It is the marginal potency. From the plenary potency are produced complete entities, but from the incomplete potency have grown the jivas as atomic cit. Krsna manifests entities of different types in accordance with the kind of sakti He applies. When He desired to have His nitya parisada, eternal servitors in His transcendental plane of Goloka Vrndavana, Vaikuntha etc.
He reveals or manifests the three forms of Visnu: Karanodakasayi, Ksirokakasayi and Garbhodakasayi. In Vraja He reveals His own nature as Krsna, with cit in fullness. As Baladeva He reveals the eternally free associate jivas for the performance of the eight kinds of service to Himself as Sri Krsna. Again, in Vaikuntha, as Maha Sankarsana, He reveals or manifests the eternally free associate jivas for service to Sri Narayana. Mahavisnu, the incarnation of Sankarsana, establishing Himself in the heart of jiva-sakti as Paramatma, creates the jiva-souls of tatastha-sakti.
These jivas are susceptible to the influence of maya. Though they are servants by constitution, those jivas have never been in Goloka Vrindavan. They are from the marginal point, and that marginal point is called tatastha-sakti. Tatastha-sakti is one of the saktis of svarup-sakti, but it is not full.
A certain type of jiva has come from there, either from Baladeva in Goloka Vrndavan or from Maha Sankarsana in Vaikuntha; but not all jivas. Those jivas who are always serving Krsna are called nitya-unumuka to Krsna. They are always serving. This second kind of jiva is coming from Narayana, that is, Karanodaksayi Visnu. That jiva is tatastha-sakti. Srila Jiva Gosvami has clarified this. There are ananta, unlimited, jivas emanating from tatastha-sakti and, from there, some are bahiramukha. This means they turn away from Krsna and enter the material world. This place, this material world, is like a svapnasthana, a dream-place.
Try to understand this. We are now in full worldly knowledge. It seems that we are awake, that someone else is dreaming, and that someone else is fast asleep without dreaming at all. But actually this place is like a dream-place. When we see any dream, we are neither fast asleep nor in such deep sleep that we are fully unconscious. Because he is part of cid-vastu, spiritual substance, the conditioned jiva is in a dream-like state, but he is thinking that he is in full consciousness.
The tastatha-sakti jiva comes from Karanodakasayee Visnu, and then comes out through His divine light-filled glance. It then depends on you what you choose. I will give a minute of time only. You should at once decide. As for those who looked from tatastha-sakti and were attracted to Krsna, Yogamaya at once gave them the power to come and serve Krsna for eternity. As far as where they go, that question will come afterwards. If you say that the jiva has fallen from there, from Goloka Vrndavana, then Bhagavad-gita will be false. By practicing bhakti-yoga for thousands and thousands of births, one is liberated and has a chance to go to that loka.
Then he will never return. The transcendental souls who are serving Krsna there are eternally liberated. They are all liberated. They have no chance to return. Prabhupada, Srila Swami Maharaja, has written this. But you do fall the first time — before you first came to this world. If anyone says this, we will have to reconcile from other very bona fide gurus. Jiva Gosvami is a very bona fide guru in tattva, especially in his Sandarbhas.
He has explained every subject without room for doubt. We will have to read his books in order to reconcile. You should especially read Bhaktivinoda Thakura, the Sattvam, seventh Gosvami. Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has clearly explained all this in Jaiva-dharma. There he has written that there are so many eternal souls who are coming from Baladeva Prabhu in Goloka Vrindavan. Nanda Baba and all the sakhas are there.
And what about the gopis? They are all Nitya-siddha kayavuyha rupa of Srimati Radhika. Those who are not bodily manifestations of Radhika are jivas coming from Baladeva. They are also eternally liberated and they are serving Krsna. This is also true Dvaraka, and also in Vaikuntha. And some jivas are coming from Karanodakasayi Visnu; from the tatastha or marginal line, from tatastha-sakti. They are also of two kinds: some are liberated and some are conditioned. Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura has clearly explained all these truths and now we will have to reconcile.
