Even if the dog or cat never goes outdoors, people may bring fleas into the home. For continuous protection, apply an appropriate Frontline Gold brand product every 30 days as directed.

Frontline Gold Flea & Tick Treatment for Cats

Consistency is key. Frontline Gold brand products remain effective for 30 days, even if your pet swims or is bathed. You may bathe your pet 48 hours after application.

ONLY use a shampoo formulated for your pet and recommended by your veterinarian. About yrs ago I noticed that it just wasn't working. I stepped up to Frontline Gold. Sometimes they are tough to control and we need to figure out what is going to work, I noticed someone said they used flea shampoo on their cats THEN applied the topical Plz be careful :. I was hopeful with the good reviews but no luck. The cats had a couple of ticks on them and looked a bit rough. I'm happy to say that the day after I treated them, the ticks were completely gone and I have not seen any additional ticks on them for a few weeks now.

The cats are located in Virginia and we are apparently having a bad year for ticks. I feel sorry for these poor cats as they aren't very well cared for by their owner but at least they aren't miserable from fleas and ticks this month! I did my homework, read all the monthly flea meds for cats.

My Thoughts on Roommates

In my opinion, it does not work nearly as well as it claims. Thumbs down. I do not recommend this item, esp. Incredible service, real people answer the phone and all your questions and the products are the best.

Chewy is the best company for all pet supplies especially this product. I had ordered this frontline from a different company , and my cat had an adverse effect to it. But from Chewy, this product is just perfect and no reaction. Thank you so much! Chewy had a great price and as usual shipped on time but this did not eliminate our flea issue. Two weeks after application and cats still scratching and I can see actual fleas on my white cat. I plan to try Advantage next. I will buy from Chewy again. I recently purchased this for a stray cat that lives in the woods in our neighborhood.

She has been coming around for 2 years and during the summer months she was covered in ticks and fleas. We felt horrible for her and soon realized that she didn't have anyone taking care of her and after taking her to a local clinic realized she is allergic to fleas. So to help her out we got her this and since applying it we have not seen any fleas or ticks on her, her allergic reaction seems to be healing, and she is much happier. It has really worked for her! We definitely recommend it. I purchased this flea treatment for my 5 cats and it hasn't touched the fleas at all.

You can still see them crawling all over my cats.

This product did not work for us. My two indoor cars got horrible fleas, probably from me bringing them in from the two patio cats I take care of. I knew from friends and research that many flea products weren't working anymore. My vet recommended Frontline Gold because it was still working on most animals. I'll know better how I feel in another 30 days. I just wish it was less expensive because I'd like to also treat my patio cats. Chewy's price is the best I found, however. In stock. Count: 3 treatments. Key Benefits Provides fast-acting, long-lasting flea and tick protection for cats and kittens 8 weeks or older weighing 1.

Kills the next generation of flea eggs and larvae. Coat color is a complex process that is the result of dominant and non-dominate genes interacting within the X chromosomes. Since coat color is a sex-linked trait, it is one of the cat's physical traits that vary based on gender. The color display is either orange or black.

The coding for white is a completely separate gene. For calico cats, the random mix of color genes that are activated or deactivated gives the blotchy orange and black color display. Since females have two X chromosomes, they are able to have two different colors orange or black, depending what X was deactivated and white; creating the three-color calico mix. Since males have only one X chromosome, they only have one black or orange gene and can only display orange or black plus or minus white, controlled by another gene. Calico cats are not always female.

Male calico cats do exist and typically have a chromosomal aberration of two X chromosomes and one Y chromosome XXY. This syndrome is similar to a condition in humans called Klinefelter's syndrome, or XXY syndrome.
